heh this may sound like a stupid question, but what does "bump" mean? i never got that.

You basically "bump up" a thread when it's fallen behind. You can bump one time in a 24 hour period to bring your ad back to the top on the new threads list :)

People use bump to get their threads back up to the top to be seen by anyone new. Some people use up, or type something, or use a smiley, but any addition to a thread will cause your thread to "bump" back up to the top again. - Jessica

Just for future reference, any post that is bumped sooner than the 24 hours is deleted and the post goes back to the bottom again.
