how long do your chins sleep on average? mine has been sleeping since long before i woke up at 9 a.m. and i have been here all day, and he will come out get some food, then go back into his house and go back to sleep

Chins are nocturnal and sleep all day. Mine go to bed at about 8am and then dont get up till about 8pm. They will be up all night playing with each other and making lots of great noise!

Depends on the chin... Our 7 month old doesn't want to miss anything, so she sleeps with one eye open...surveying anything that goes on.. but our 4 month old goes in her hidey house and you don't see her from about 7 am until about 5 pm.

lol, yeah, it had me worried. but i slept right through his spaz attacks, but last night i stayed up all night and he really didng become fully active till about 2 am and went to sleep about a 1/2 hour ago. good news is that he learned how to use his flying saucer, i think, because i heard a lot of metalic squeaking

my boy is complete opposite of everyone so far..

he is active in the morning when we get up.. demands to be let out to play. usually around 8-9 am.. then he's back active around 4 in the afternoon.. mine actually sleeps through the night!!
we totally chinproofed a spare room in our home and he comes and goes as he pleases.. we come in the room, he'll be sleep.. but he sees us? then he's ready to go... lol
he's only 3 months old.. so maybe that will change??

Rocket usually goes into full gear around 11 pm.. just when I'm ready to hit the sack.. but of course I stay up and let her get it out of her system... we just got a flying saucer for her last week.. she tentatively tried it a few times.. I thought she was finally going to get the hang of it, but now she just uses it as a hidey house and sleeps UNDER... so it's turning out to be an expensive hidey house.

haha, i have yet to see him actually using it, but right when i woke up i heard a lot of squeaking noises, and by time i could get up and go turn on a light (few minutes later) he was already in his house ready to go to sleep :)

My chin is pretty weird. He is usually sleeping when I wake up in the morning (around 8-9am), but once he hears me up, he runs over and holds onto his cage bars until I say "hello" to him and scratch his chin for a minute. After that, he's asleep until around 5pm, where he constantly stares at me for attention. He is up all night, and I usually go to bed around 1am every night. He makes me feel so guilty because he will stare at me through his cage and then hold on to the bars. I hate that!!! I get up like 5 times through the night because of guilt. Lol.
