Thought you might like this poem I wrote for the memorial section of my chinchilla scrapbook
It feels like something’s missing
Now that we’re apart
At night I lie awake and feel
Your paw prints on my heart
I wish I could have saved you
I wish you could have stayed
Nothing’s quite the same now
Since you passed away
But looking up to Heaven
I smile through all my tears
For I know you’re up there somewhere
Free of cares and free of fears
So run and jump and play my friend
Enjoy your astral plane
And watch for me, my treasured pet
For we shall meet again
(Love you Gulliver, Baylee and Zuma)
It feels like something’s missing
Now that we’re apart
At night I lie awake and feel
Your paw prints on my heart
I wish I could have saved you
I wish you could have stayed
Nothing’s quite the same now
Since you passed away
But looking up to Heaven
I smile through all my tears
For I know you’re up there somewhere
Free of cares and free of fears
So run and jump and play my friend
Enjoy your astral plane
And watch for me, my treasured pet
For we shall meet again
