You were such a joy to me and left me way too soon. I never even knew you were leaving. One minute you were taking your dustbath and grooming my nails, hoping on my shoulder. An hour later you were gone. You were so tiny and I felt like we'd become so much more bonded the last month or so. Sleep well. I'll miss you, but I'll never forget you.

Awe, I'm so sorry. Loss of a chinnie, or any beloved pet, is always a very difficult time. Just remember all the good times you had. :) It will all be ok, and remember that you were a very good chinnie Mom.

If you don't mind me asking though...what exactly happened? If you don't want to talk about it...that's ok too. :(

I don't know what happened. That's what makes it so baffling. Last night I got him out. He rode on my shoulder, He took a dust bath. He had a craisin. He was eating pellets when I said good-night. The only thing is that he was a very tiny chin. When I got him his previous owner told me he was too small to breed. He just never grew. He looked like a baby his whole life. I was going to a necropsy done, but my vet is out of town until next week and I can't bear to put him in the freezer and to know he's in there, then have to take the body to the vet later. It's already hard enough. Thanks for your sympathetic wishes. This is the first time I've ever had to post in this forum. I hope I won't be here again for this purpose for a long time.

I'm sorry you lost your chin. They are part of our family and it is so sad when we lose one. Be happy you have such good memories. You gave him a loving home and made his life special.
