Shadow passed away

Shadow the rescue hedgie passed away today. I'm not sure what went wrong. She must be around 4, maybe older, not sure she was a rescue. I was holding her today and everything was fine, and then she threw up all over herself. So I set her in her litter box while I went to get the sink ready to rinse her off, and when I came back, she was just lying in her litter box still, on her side. I took her and rinsed her off. She wasn't any better afterwards, and seemed to have trouble breathing, she was opening her mouth to breath. We called the vet to take her out, but when we got ready to leave, she stopped breathing. :( It was so sudden, I wish I knew what happened.

awww im soooo sorry! these kinda situations are the scariest. well atleast you know that lil shadow went to the big hedgie hotel in the sky :)
