We have a lot of "Whats your FAVORITE color" threads. What about the colors you DONT like? Why don't you like them?

I like all of the colors. To me, each one is very unique. I must say that poorly bred animals don't always look the best, though...I'm sure beige violets will be on the top of the dislikes. The beige really muddied a TOV beige violet female I have (I didn't breed her)...but she's still cute to me lol.

Beige, even the best beige tend to look like garbage by the time they are a year old due to oxidation.

There aren't any colors that I don't like. I find them all to be very beautiful.

oxidation is when something is exposed to oxygen or another component for a period of time...Kinda like oxy-clean. LOL, I've only seen a few cases where beiges "faded". I'm getting a beige next week, but I'm not too worried about it.

In a beige, oxidation will eventually make most of them have a reddish/copper/bronze tint on the tips of their fur. As a pet, or even a breeder it is fine, but on a show table it is a problem...

I've always had trouble warming up to beige, ebony and pure white. I think it's because I find their fur to be too solid with no contrasting features, therefore, they don't grab my attention as much. A nice white base coat with some of the fur turning to a gray/and or blackish color makes me want to stare at them. So does the lighter color belly of the standard grey contrasting with the rest of its darker fur. Now that's nice. :)

The only color I'm not particularly taken with is Sapphire. For some reason their coats look broken up and uneven to me.

I guess I should add my opinion.
I don't really like Beige. They just don't really appeal to me. Beige Violets are on the top of my list though. I think they ruin the pretty color of the violet.
I do have 2 tans in my herd...but I don't think I'd be breeding for tans anymore, they aren't in breeding.... IF and ONLY if I can find a VERY NICE beige may I put one into breeding to have some beige offspring born to sell..but thats a very small possiblity.
