How often to oil a hog?

For those of you who's prickly firends suffer from dry skin...I was wondering how often you oil them (or use vit. E)? Calli needs to start treatment for dry skin, but I was unsure how often to treat her.

Eh sorry, bad joke. I use Vitamin E for my guys dry skin. At first I do applications once a day until the problem starts to get better. Then I do it only as often as its needed to keep their skin nice- that may be once a day, once every second day, or only once a week. Its up to you.

I use the Vitamin E capsules. I perfer them over the kind you can get in a jar because it is easy to puncture the capsule and apply small drops of the oil on them. The oil will work its way down to the hedgies skin on its own- or you can give your hedgie a back massage to help it out a little.
