ok, im lookin for an old busted electric guitar. i plan on completely refurbishing it using after market parts. id build one from scratch but i dont have all the tools i need. preferably, id like a fender stratocaster of any year, or even a telecaster of any year. it doesnt matter what condition its in, the worse it is the more fun i get to have with it. im looking for the fender brand only because of part compatability issues. if uve got a gibson ur willing to sell then ill have to whack u in the head, cuz:
A) u let it become old and busted
B) u are willing to part with it
C) u let it become old and busted
D) all of the above

i mean, come on. how could u let a gibson get in that kind of condition? i can understand a strat, becaue of the trem springs and tension. but most gibsons dont have that. besides, gibsons are worth a lot more in the vintage guitar market. sorry, thats the end of my rant. back to business, post any guitars u got if theres even anyone here that has one. we can also discuss price and such.

Hey strat79, does this guitar qualify for what you are looking for, or is the body too cheap to customize? Click here (http://www.worldmusicsupply.com/guitars/electric-guitars/Fender/031-0600-506.asp). I bought one of these a few years ago as my first guitar to start practicing with and has no sentimental value as my first guitar, unfortunately. Honestly, I hated it with a passion because the action would never go low enough for my liking and it's cheaply built. :| It made me unintentionally mute strings too often and wasn't the best of choice for someone learning how to play. So after 1.5 years of using it, I wound up buying a beautiful Peavey EVH Wolfgang and my practicing and willingness to learn greatly improved! :)

The two problems I've had with it is the soldering for the wiring connections where the guitar cable plugs into the jack was very poor. I had to re-solder it myself and I think it's okay now. Also, the truss rod may be a little bent, but I'm not positive on that. If you are interested, then I can yank it out of storage and post some pics for you.

yeah, i dont think a squier would hold up to what im gonna do with it. what i really wanna do if i can get the parts is buy old body parts from broken guitars: neck, body, bridge, pickups, etc. using those, and whatever aftermarket parts id need to use to replace really messed up parts, i plan to kind of create a hybrid vintage guitar. i want to put at the very least, 11 guage stings on it, wich can mess up the neck if they arent downtuned while not being played. i really wanna put 13's on it, but id really have to tweak the truss rod and reinforce the trem system and probably get a special bridge. but yeah, thanks for the offer, but i dont think that puppy would be that great for this particular project.
