I have been trying desperately to clip Spikey's nails with no luck. Either he wants to eat the clippers or he is just too darn fast. Tonight after his bath he was wrapped up in his towel trying to wriggle out to get close to my t-shirt, then it hit me...he likes my smell. So I got a pair of sweats out of the dirty laundry and put them on the bed. While he went to town chewing and annointing I finally got his nails trimmed. :)

Cngrats on fiding a way to clip your little guys nails.:D They sure can be tricky to do....I find if I do it while they are in the tub, it works pretty well also :)

I've tried a lot of the wait until they try to uncurl and quickly catch a toe...usually takes a team effort. I think my Snuggles has figured out what the clippers are and doesn't like to easily give me a foot.

Geeze they sure can make us work sometimes ...thats cute the way you had to clip your baby's nails. If you dont want your hedgie annointing all over your laundry you could try, as mentioned above, clipping them when you piggie is in the bath tub in about and inch of water...if your baby is anything like mine he will be too preoccupied with hating the water to notice what you are doing. but hey if you dont mind the clothes being chewed on then what your doing works too;)

Wow, I guess I'm really lucky that Nigel let's me clip his nails without too much fuss. Once I have a foot he stays still until I let it go...then comes the fun of catching another foot.

I just did Zoey's nails for the 1st time, 2weeks ago and she wiggled and moved every way she could. So after her bath I rapped her up in a towel.I Sat down on my bed, turned everything off (T.V., Radio, whatever was on at the time) But the light in my room and I looked at her and told her I'm gonna get your nail if you like it or not and I got them. I guess she got the message cause she stoped moving around for a lil while. If she did move it was just a bit. I just cut a little off the top. I was scared to cut to much off.
