Oldest Hedgehog Here?

My hedgehog, Jojik, died this evening. He was around 3 years old and had heart failure. I notice a LOT of us lose them around that age. I'm curious. What is the oldest hedgehog here?

i am really sorry about jojik. He is in hedgie heaven now, eating all the his favorite treats and playing with his favorite toys. Sorry, i don't have a hedgie yet, so no age.

My 1st hedgehog I got was from a high school I saved it from. I believe it was around 2 years old when I saved him and almost 2 years of having him he passed away.
I'm really sorry about you hedgehog. I was away on a trip when my hedgehog passed on. My 2 that I have now are almost a year. So I don't have the oldest hedgie here...
But again I'm really sorry about your loss.

I am so sorry for your lose. :( Yes 3 does seem to be the age at which we start to loose them.

I am sure you must feel really sad about your hedgie but just remember how lucky your piggie was to have had you. My first hedgehog which I had about 10 years ago died at 3. I have two piggies now one is just over 2 and the other is just over a year and a half. I think 3-4 years seems to be the average but i am curious to hear of anyone with a pig that is older.

I am sorry for your loss of Jojik. I put Pringle to sleep just after he turned 3 from complications with WHS. I thought they lived to be atleast 5 in captivity, but like you, after reading some posts, I realized that 3 seemed to be a common age. I am praying for you.
