Ok ...
I bought some canary grit from the bulk barn....it looks like a fine sand in texture but is kinda grayish white in color and i put it in a dish and added one pig and watched....she loved it (of course i think this is the kind of activity that ought to be supervised...) anyway she was rolling and flipping in the grit like it was nobody's busniess...she loved it she played in it forever...which is totally not like her. Then i tried it out on my boy hedgie and he was the same ...flipping rolling and digging...it was absolutly adorable! I have never seen them so excited...
The grit was super cheap and the piggies loved it i think this could be a fun supervised playtime exercise
anyone ever done anyting like this? i have done this with lizzard sand and lizzard dirt and while the boy has played in it i have never had my girl do it to until now!

Chloe did that type of thing the first time she was put into a litterbox (at the time, I had clay cat litter in it, yes I know its a big no, no) She had so much fun with it but after learning that clay cat litter is not the best idea, I haven't offered the opportunity to play in it again.

That sounds adorable. Ive never tried anything like that with my boys- but it sounds like something I may want to try in the future.
