I used to make those, but don't have a recipe. I take instant biscuits from the can, separate them and smoosh each piece of dough with shredded cheddar cheese until you get dough balls with shredded cheese embedded inside and out. Place them on the cookie as per instructions on the can. Melt butter in the microwave. Add Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt (to taste) into melted butter and brush that on the tops of the dough. Then bake as per instructions on can until golden brown.

Get a box of Bisquick (of Jiffy Baking Mix, Trader Joe's baking mix, etc.)

Follow the recipe for drop biscuits... and you'll see directions for the cheddar ones ;)

I usually use 2 cups of the baking mix + 1 cup of cheddar; bake as directed. Before they cool, brush on some melted butter w/ some garlic powder and dried parsley mixed in.

Can you tell that I make these a lot ;)

ps I often scoop the biscuit dough into a cupcake tin sprayed w/ Pam. They look nicer that way :applause:

I get the cheesey herb biscuts from Schwans. They aren't as good but they are yummy.

My mom actually does have the recipe for the Red Lobster cheese biscuts. The recipe is from scratch and the biscuts end up tasting exactly the same- theyre soooo good!

I'll have to bother her for it when she gets home :)

I ended up finding the website where she got the recipe from.
There are two variations of the same recipe- so here they both are.

Enjoy!!

FYI Pillsbury has pre-made cheddar biscuits. It's in their new line of biscuits that come ina blue bag.

I haven't bought them in awhile, but I remember that they taste exactly the same. Plus, you can cook as few or as many as you want at a time.
