Uhm, yes, as it says in the topic title: Hello!

I'm Ciel, a teen-aged girl who just moved to Georgia not too long ago. Heh, uhm, I'm not all too sure on what I should say!

I don't own a chinchilla, yet.. But I really love mosaic chinchillas, I think they are really beautiful! It's all just a matter of convincing my mother to let me get one, heh.

I've also been lurking around for a while now. I like to build up some knowledge before actually registering/posting. :P

Welcome to CnQ!

I'm actually a hedgie person, so I may not see you around that much. To convince parents, take them to the pet store/breeder and show her how cute chinnies (or hedgies) are. It always works (hehehe)!

"hi. How are you?"
(insert answer here...)
"Really? thats awesome."
(and here)
"Anything new going on in your life?"
(and here)
I'm okay, i swear...:)
If you ever have any questions feel free to ask me, I might know the answer, and if you ever need anyone to talk to I'll listen.
I might be around your age depending on how old you are. And I have 3 chins-my mom loves me. She let me get them, it didn't take much convincing.

Chins can make great pets, but do take a lot of responsibility. As long as you've shown your parents how responsible you can be i'm sure they'll let you have a pet. Good luck on getting a chin, and let me suggest that you find a local breeder instead of a pet store. Even though they look so sad sitting in the pet store you are only encouraging them to continue to buy more chins by patronizing them. A local breeder can give you much more than a pet store would and can continue to help you along the way. It's always good to have someone on your side incase something were to happen to your baby. I am a small hobby breeder and still talk with each of my new parents on a regular basis. Anytime they need something they can call me, so they don't have to worry about their babies. I wish you the best in finding yourself the cutest little mosaic chinny possible. - Jessica

Everyone!- Thanks for the nice, big, and friendly welcome! I like meeting new people and the such :P

CorneliusChins- Thank you for the information! Oh yes, chins sound like a fairly big responsibility but their adorableness makes up for it, hehe! And I understand about the petstore chins.. But then again, ANY animal in a petstore is just.. blegh (usually). Besides, I could get a standard grey from a breeder much cheaper than a pet store. Heh.

Well good luck with convincing your parents. Just show them you are responsible enough to handle a pet. I had to do the same before. I have a little mosaic chin she is so great. I know you will find the right chin for you and enjoy. :)
