We recently started quilling in my house...so far it looks like she's got some nice large solid white quills coming in but I haven't really noticed any of her banded quills coming in this size. She loves exploring and tubing more than ever but gets so cranky when I try to hold her.

How long does quilling normally last?

Quilling usually last until about 6-8 months I think , but it is different for each hedgehog, I have a 9 month old who is still quilling!

She could be snowflaking or they good just be 'guard' quills. Guard quills are larger then normal white quills that they all get.

Do their colors change or modify during quilling? Her father was an albino, I wasn't sure if that had something to do with the white quills. Will the guard quills always be that much larger than her other quills? I'm not worried that anythings wrong with her, it's just that they seem so BIG!! (Like she's trying to imitate a viking hat!! :viking: )

They can change in color during quilling. There have been plenty of snowflakes that turned into their 'solid' colors, and visa versa. There is only one color that definitely won't change during quilling and that is albinos. Once an albino, always an albino.
