Last night, I was flipping around the stations and saw a toucan on Larry King, so I stopped. It was "Jack Hanna and his Animals". They were showing all kinds of exotic animals. Then Larry King said, "now we have a special guest..a hedgehog!" It was actually two hedgehogs and the poor things were so scared. They were placed on the table and were just two quivering spike-balls. Larry King looked at them and said and said, "There's an animal in there, right?" Then he asked, "What is that noise??" The hedgies were huffing and puffing. They never did unroll so people could see them. Very cute, but I felt bad for them. I'm sure they didn't like all the lights and noise!!

I didnt catch this, but I caught a glimpse of european hedgies anoiting (spl?) on WHOA Sunday! on Animal Planet this weekend. They even had a commercial with a african pygmy hedgie on it, it wasnt really a commercial, but a little segment where the Animal Planet logo is up and an animal walks by or throught the screen.

I saw the animal planet things too. I got really excited about the annointing, even if they were the European ones  I was hoping that the little commercial with the african hedgie meant that it was going to be on the show, but no such luck...oh well it's good to see hedgies out there for people to see.

No, I didn't see it but I can bet they were simply terrified. Poor things.

I saw it! I saw it! That is why I went out the next day and got one. Poor things seemed so helpless. I felt soooooo bad for the little ones.
