Heya there! I think I joined chins-n-quills before, but I couldn't remember my name or password, so I figured I'd start over and take a name & password I remembered.
Our chins are Rosco & Silky, both female as far as we know; one was a sort of rescue from the acquaintance of a friend, and the other was store bought because there were no other female chins in need of rescue for months when we were looking for company for Rosco.
I will post something in the "fosters wanted" section, but just as a quick note, our situation stands thus: The two chins had love at first sight, but things went downhill from there; they still aren't bonded, and it's been about a year. We have a small child and a rabbit, and while the rabbit can roam free, the chins cannot for their own safety, so we're stuck trying to juggle two chin run-times, cleaning out the two cages, and we haven't had the time to try further bonding sessions. What we need is someone who has a lot of experience with chins, loves them very much, and preferably has bonded pairs before to do a long-term (possibly permanent?) foster, because we love these two chins so much, and we haven't been able to devote the time to them that they need: the solution is to find someone who can give them a better home, at least until we get things more settled and can really give these chins a good home (and when our toddler learns not to grab).
So that's the short of it, and I hope to find resources here - if not connecting up with a person who can do it, someone who can point us in the right direction.
