Hi,i decided i want to take acoustic guitar lesson but i know nothing about guitars and was wondering what names are good to buy,I was told a Fender, i dont want to spend alot, if i dont like it i hate to have invested alot , i did see online a fender squier for $116 shipped.I also found a no name pink one I LOVE on ebay but it is very cheap so i am guessing you get what you pay for!Any opinion would be great! thanks Rachel

I know squat about guitars- but I do know that some places will allow you to rent a guitar from them while you are taking lessons. That way if you dont like it you havent spent alot of money on buying one. If you do like it you can always go from there and decide how much you wish to invest in purchasing one.

You can check out Washburn, Epiphone or Yamaha too. I would say to spend around $150 for a halfway decent beginner one. Don't forget to practice religiously for a 1/2 hour or more every single day. Learning guitar takes tremendous patience and can be very frustrating during the first year, but don't worry, you will eventually get good at it over time. Don't give up! :hyper:

A Fender is the best out of them all! I recently got a Blue Fender/Squier Electric Guitar! And It's Great! I Love It! And I Taught Myself And My Mom Got A Red One And Taught Herself! All You Need Is Books And You Can Teach Yourself! (it's a lot cheaper then getting lessons)

No one suggested a Ukelele. Why not? They're cheap. And portable. And potentially dangerous to your health.
