I'm rescuing a hedgehog today! It's kind of a sudden thing, the owners have had it for a month or so and have lost interest, they offered it to my boyfriend and me on Monday. At first, I declined, since I didn't know anything about hedgehogs, but did a little reading up on them on Tuesday and decided that it would probably live a better existance at my house while I learn about them than it would in its current situation (they keep it in the basement all day. In fact, we're a little worried about whether it will attempt hibernation before we can pick it up tonight...).
And yes, we'll be making a vet visit once we get it situated at my house.
