NEW..Kaze pictures!

I haven't had much of a chance to get online often, but I'm here now(at a friends) and thought I would post some new pictures of Kaze since he has gotten so big (and FAT). He has grown quite a bit since I got him and gained alot also. He is the size of both my girls put together! But was just recently been put on a lower fat diet, with smaller portions, to try to get him to lose some of the weight, and I'm waiting on Bucket wheels in the mail, which will help alot.(if they ever come)

We have also made up a new game, I taught him how to play dead and we play everytime I take him out, he is very good at it now:laugh:... I hold him on his back, and he wiggles around untill I say "Kaze play dead" and he'll just freeze, I thought I would share the picture (last one) and story because I think it is just so cute, I can't beleive I taught him to do it.:D Sorry the picture is a little dark but it was play time and we try to keep the lighting to a minimum!

aww that's cute...I wonder if I can train some of mine to play dead. I have one that likes to stretch out in my and on her back, but she's still wiggly...Great pics!!!

Thanks alot everyone! I really love my little guy.

He is going to be bread with my beautiful Marigold. I want to be well prepaired and ready before I decide to actually mate them. :) So I am waiting a little longer before when I know I'm ready and have everything I need incase something may happen to grow wrong, or if I have to hand feed any of the little ones:) I want to be fully prepaired!

I SO want to train Poke to do kewl things like that!!!! I no maybe im just dumb, but could you write a quick thing on how you trained him to do that? Im totally clueless when it comes to complicated things like that....lolz.....thanks!

OK this is a little longer than expected but well worth the typing:laugh: or reading in your case if you wish to learn how to teach them!!

It take alot of time and patience. I'm currently trying to teach him new tricks. I would take him out cuddle him, give him the normal kisses, let him run around a few minutes to calm him down, then pick him up, turn him onto his back in my hand and hold him while he scurms and wiggles around, I would place my hand on his stomach holding him still and say "Kaze play dead"... I did this continually untill I didn't have to place my hand on his stomach any more and he just did it when I said "play dead". Like I said alot of patience but I'm sure they'll learn.

We're currently working on fetching.. I have these really cute bright colored little cat toys, they look like little drums with a bell in side, I have taught him to push him with his nose as well as my girls, but I'm working on getting them to bring it to me:) they come when I call but leave the toy behind, so were currenly working on that. I think Marigold is starting to get the hang of it, But I have to get right down and lay on the floor with them. Well I don't mind they love to play:D and I enjoy being able to play with them..

thanks for the instructions....I can't quite teach Poke to do that because she gets a bit antsy when i touch her belly but im working on that. Im teaching her to come when called right now. Do you think i should use the word 'Come' or her name, 'Poke'. I already started with the word Come because I thought that might be a bit better. So, when i say something like "Good girl Poke!" she won't come running to me looking for a treat. It could also be a probably if you ahd more than one hedgie trained like that becaus then they would all come!! AA!
