Scroll down to the post from Paigie. Nobody asked what happened to this hedgehog.

This new member posted three times. First, that their hedgehog was sick. Then that it had passed away. Granted, they didn't start a thread about a sick hog or a thread that their hog had passed away but I think that is beside the point.
I'm really dismayed that in the first link that I listed above that nobody seemed to notice that someone had just lost their hedgehog. We have a new member that posted that their hog was sick and then twice that it had passed away. And nobody even noticed.

I am as guilty as anyone else. :(
I wonder how I would feel if I posted that one of my hedgies had passed away and nobody seemed to care.

It was kind of a odd spot to post something like that but I agree it's a shame that we didn't pick up on it sooner.

It may have something to do with new members not being able to have their posts show up till they are cleared by the mods. I'm not sure exactly how that works, but they may have been put in there later and that's why they weren't seen. :dunno:

Actually that's really true- I know when I was a newbie my posts could show up DAYS later and be in the middle of the post. So I think you hit the nail on the head.

That could be. I didn't think about that. I just thought that it was sad that noone said anything. Thanks, I was feeling kinda low about myself because I saw the post about the hedgie passing away and even though it WAS posted in a strange spot I overlooked it. I'm feeling a little better about myself now. No, I didn't send a PM but I will right now.

Oh wow...I feel so bad. I really didn't see those posts about poor little Cloud. :( I think I would have said something had I saw them. I'm hoping they did just "pop up" later and that is why I didn't see it....otherwise....I feel like a heel!
