what makes you 'bann' a member on this forum?

i had the dubious honour of being banned on a different forum once. i know what i did 'wrong' there.

just wondering, what do people get banned for here?

Failing to follow the "Forum Rules" after repeated warnings from the mods, will get you banned.

I think it is a good system that you get warnings here. I once belonged to another forum, and one strike you were out. I got banned for posting a link to a forum with the same topic as the forum I was on. Everyone called me a spammer and I was banned for good. :rolleyes:

YEp this forum has a good system. I have not officially been banned before but left before I was because of the drama which I am sooo not into.I know a few forums ow that have a do not allow list, which is good as long as it is not for petty reasons.

I have a question.. I noticed the other day a member of this forum had the huge red words "BANNED" under her name.. and now there is no sign of her anywhere... no posts... she isn't even listed as a member.. when I first saw the "BANNED" under her name I thought SHE put it there, because she was being sarcastic. Does a mod put the word "BANNED" under your name.. right before you disappear?

Ya When There Banned It Will Show It. The Mods Put It There And Get Rid Of All Evidence Of That Person.

Sarah, they don't get rid of all the evidence. They are banned, but there posts and threads still exist. There profile also stays. :) I am guessing there could be a delay from when the ban label goes up and you are actually banned....but I would've guessed that they would've banned them first before putting the label. hmmmm....
