Question about Quilling

I was wondering if Hedgehogs go through several Quilling periods because at around 3 months Peatri started quilling then he stopped.

Now he's quilling again! I've already ruled out mites and I can see new quills popping up. He doesn't even seem to be grumpy like the last time either!

He's actually more calm then normal.

I know he's fine healthwise he just had a checkup (where I ruled out mites) but the vet didn't really know about quilling either.

I have a couple of them do that. They quilled a bit, quit, then started again. My Pixie is actually doing that right now.

Sometimes they will go through another quilling at about a year old. :)

Yeah Peatri is going to turn 1 in a couple of weeks.

Herbie is getting a bunch of new quills in too and he's around 1 year old. He lost a bunch of them when we went through the mite infestation :rolleyes: I'm just glad that he's over that grumpy huff huff pop pop stage!!
