Hello everybody! My name is Ali and I live in Ontario, Canada. I only have one chinchilla (originally Daisy, now often called Chinchi and Chinchers) whom I adopted from a woman who was allergic to the shavings she used in the cage (which I've since gotten rid of anyways :P). I hope to introduce another chinchilla to her for some company, but I'm a bit nervous about it. Hopefully some of you more experienced members can help me out with all this! <3

Hi and welcome! I have four girls in together. Sometimes it's hard to introduce but there are lots of methods to read up on in here from other members. Introduce the two in a place that isn't territorial, don't just shove them in your Daisy's cage. I introduced mine in the bathroom and let them in there, and then they slept all together in a carrier for half an hour, then back in the cage. I also watch them for the first day cause as soon as you turn your back you never know.

I agree, better late than never! Glad to have you on the boards. Just as I tell all who come on and introduce themselves and their need or want for more facts/info. You've come to the right place! Plenty of knowledgeable handlers and plenty of fun pictures and stories.
