Blizz Summer Pics

Hello,

Here are some recent pics of Blizzard. A couple of her in the kiddie pool (I was there supervising, and just had her in for the pic), and another of her in my new little hedgehog bird feeder I got at Stein's garden store in Kenosha, WI. I got it on clearance for half off.

Blizz had a lump on her throat and we took her in to have an aspiration (sp?) done. She didn't think it was cancer, but she couldn't tell because there seemed to be some abnormal cells growing. So she sent in the results to a pathologist, and they found out that it was cancer. She has lymphoma. She is going to give the hedgie something, but she is going to check online first to see if it is ok for hedgies. If we can keep it in control and her in no pain, ok, but if it starts to spread, we will probably have to put her to sleep. :(

Aw Blizz is a very pretty girl. I especially love the last picture. I am so sorry to hear about her cancer. I hope that things go well. Good luck and keep us updated on her progress!

What a cutie-pie! So sorry to hear she has cancer. Poor Blizzard. Sadly cancer is way to common in hedgehogs. Best of luck to you!!! :hearts:

Blizz is a cutie. I love the pic of her swimming. I have never seen a hedgie swim like that before...my 2 hate the water. I also love the pic of Blizz and the outdoor hedgie. Too cute!

Blizzard is such a great name :) I wish I could figure out if any of mine like to swim, she looks soo cute. Great find on the lawn hedgie. I'm sorry to hear about the cancer, and I hope your vet can work something out.

Thank you everyone. She said whatever it is they may put her on may actually make the tumor smaller. And that lump on her nose we are still dealing with, but it is no where near as bad as it used to be. We are treating that with an antirobe liquid. I am starting to think that just may have something to do with cancer as well.

I got her name from the white tiger beanie baby, Blizzard. Back in the day when TY was the thing.
