Older than we thought!

This weekend we took Doris to visit the people that gave her to us. While we were talking about her I found out that we are her 4th owners not her 3rd. We have had her for almost a year now, the people before us just had her a couple of weeks, the ones before that 4 years and we aren't sure about before that. So she is at LEAST 5 now... :dunno:

She was tearing it up last night. Woke me up. She dragged her tube into her litter... She drags one of her back feet a bit, but other than that she is going strong. I wish I knew exactly how old she is, but my hubby says it would just make me worry more about when she is going to pass on. He is right of course.

He's very right and it's not uncommon now for hedgies with good care to live until 8 or 9 years old so I wouldn't sweat it at all!! She sounds alert, happy, and healthy to me which is awesome for a girl of her age (whatever it might be!).
