Systems of Pregnancy

Fizzy is pregnant, I'd bet just about anything that she is. She's got a very very hard tummy and I caught her nesting today. She hasn't gained any weight though. I'm not worried about as I know they can not gain any weight and still end up having a large litter.

Now Milkshake on the other hand has gained 50 grams but her belly is much squishier. Which makes me think she's not pregnant. The last five days she was in with Diesel he was not at all interested in her and she was not interested in him. So who knows.

Silly things love to keep you guessing.

I could never tell with Bianca. The first time I could have sworn she was preg, but nope. Then the second time I was very skeptical, that thinking the worst, and hoping for the best :) Some are just hard to tell. I try to go by teats if possible. Snuggles and Rosie for their first litters had VERY noticiable change in teats...Although Bianca only sort of. Anyway to sum this up good luck and I hope you get two very healthy and happy litters.

Perhaps Fizzy just has a full tummy? How far along do you think she is? My males used to nest, and I don't think they were pregnant. :p

I agree. Hemi nests from time to time, as well. She's a girl so it brought up some concerns but then I realized...she hadn't been with a male in the time I've had her. I wonder if hedgies are capable of immaculate conception? :rofl:

Firstly I just realized I mistyped the title. I had meant symptoms. duh

And Fizzy's nesting is unusual for her. She doesn't do it normally and in this case it is very much a sign that she's most likely preggie.

Her belly isn't just firm from a meal, she's definately got something inside her not food related.

Katie seems like she might be pregnant to me:) those seem like good reasons to beleive so! Good luck I hope she actually is. I cannot wait to breed Marigold and get to watch lil' hegie babies grow up:)
