The inspector came out for the prelicense inspection and just loved my set up!! I think she was a bit in awe. I have very complete records and keep everything neat and tidy. I'm a bit of a compulser when it comes to being organized. I should get my license number in two weeks!!! She's going to send in my check and paperwork for me :) I'm soo excited!!

I'm kind of intense on my systems. I have a magnant name tag for every hedgehog under their cage. I then have a clip system with different colors: green = has litter, purple= pregnant, Blue= needs extra time cuddling, red= on meds, and orange= under watch (for weights or injuries)
Then I have four binders: Litters, daily care sheets, rescues/rehomes, breeding herd.
Litters: I have a sheet filled out for each litter with sire, dam, date breed, number of days of gestation, number of hoglets, number of males, number of females, and a section for descriptions and comments.
Daily care sheets: Each hog has a detailed page that says what liners they are on, food, toys, which hidy spot they prefer, and any special needs.
rescue/rehome: All the info on the hogs in my rescue herd, emails from owners who contacted me, (On the three that were abused) Pictures of the condition I got them in, vet bills, pics after they healed, weight charts that I have a place for comments, and each has a name page with their IHR numbers.
Breeding herd: Is the same as the rehome/rescue but I have their USDA info, lineages, vet bills, weight charts, pics, and a paragraph that explains when and where I obtained them.
The last two binders then have clips for each hedgehog. Purple= proven female, Green= proven male, pink= female that hasn't been bred, blue= male that hasn't been bred, and red= has passed on.
It's a little intense but I know what works for me and helps me stay on track of what's going on. The inspector asked me if I considered raising and breeding exotics as a career or even opening a pet shop!!! I'll have to keep it in mind :)
