Hey everyone. I did something incredibly stupid the other day. I visited a petstore again. I know I don't have the money right now for a second hedgehog, but I visited anyway...and I found a baby (couldn't have been more than 3 months old) girl. I'm sure alot of you on the board know my opinion of albinoes (in that, the red eyes tend to scare me a bit). Well...the little girl I found was albino, albeit a black-eyed white (I think she was black eyed...the store lights could have deceived me). And she was adorable. I wanted to stuff her in my pocket and walk out of the store with her. :hearts: Especially after I found out that her cage mate was a male.

And believe me...I raised a ruckus about that. They told me they don't have the space to separate them at the moment since some spiney mice just had babies. I told them that unless they wanted a pregnant baby who would very well die during the pregnancy or the labor, they'd want to separate them ASAP. Chances are, the little thing is already pregnant though.

If anyone on the board feels like venturing down to Edmonton, Alberta to look at this little girl, she's at the Kingsway Garden Mall PJ's Pets. Just thought someone would like to know.

albinos don't have black eyes, only pink (or red). It may have been a double white or high white something or other, but if the eyes were black, def not an albino.

HONESTLY! I've had it with pet stores lately! Like, MORE than usual! If you don't have the room, DON'T BUY THE ANIMALS TO SELL IN THE FIRST PLACE! UGH! I would love to own a pet store just so I could do everything as it's supposed to be done!...well, I really wouldn't wan a pet store probably, but you get what I'm saying ;)

I would take her just to get her out of the situation, but I'm nowhere near Canada. *sigh*

Pet Stores are really starting to tick me off!

Yep...like I said...I'm not totally sure of the eye color...stupid fluorescent lights. But she was definately a cutie. At least...now I know I wouldn't turn down an albino anymore.

I have three albino's and there is no way you could ever think they have dark eyes. Their eyes are a light peachy pink and almost translucent.

Well, I guess I have my answer. LOL. Because her eyes looked pretty dark...if not black, almost a dark purply-type color. I'm not the greatest expert on colors, though. What color would it be if she did have the purply colored eyes, but snow white quills? She was definately a pretty girl though.
