You need:
Saltines
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
12 ounces chocolate chips
1 cup chopped walnuts, optional

Line a 9x13 jelly roll pan or cookie sheet with foil. Butter the foil or spray it with Pam.
Fill the cookie sheet with a single layer of Saltines

Put the butter and brown sugar in a pot and bring it to a boil for 4 minutes. Pour it over the crackers, spreading it to the edges.

Put the pan in the oven at 425 for 12 minutes.

Put the pan in the fridge for 3 minutes
Remove and sprinkle the chocolate chips over it and spread evenly and the nuts if you want them.

Chill until set and cut or break apart.

Thank you, thank you :)

My mother makes those @ Christmas and I just love 'em. I always manage to misplace the recipe, so it's nice to see one today.

Hmmmm... I may just have to make a batch soon ;)

Never thought to do that! I think that most US markets sell Breton crackers so I'll give it a go :)
