Rouge pictures!

I finally got her calm enough to sit in my hand and take a few pictures. The quality may or may not be very good, but they give you an idea. I'm going to try to make a video of her later, so everyone who's interested can see how she acts. Loving her more by the second!

I feel more like she picked me than the other way around. I wanted to share her with you guys! I kept telling Billy that I couldn't wait until I had Hedgie stories of my own, and here they are! :laugh:

I think she's making some progress. When I move my hand near her, she'll hiss and attempt to ball up. And she WILL ball up, but I cup her in my hands and pick her up to set her down somewhere. As soon as I do that, she unballs, sniffs, tries to walk around (as far as I'll let her get. She'd walk right off the bed if I wasn't there. She thinks she can fly.), that kind of thing. I'll rub her, she'll hiss but not ball, just stiffen up. I keep rubbing her (especially on the back), and she relaxes. Repeat the cycle. She's good about unballing. I just think she's nervous still. After all, it was a big transition.

I have a quick question for everyone too, if you'd humor me! Do any of your Hedgies ever let you give belly rubs? She's balled up around my finger and I've checked her belly at that time, and everything seems okay. I just wondered if any of them let you all give them a tummy rub. I figure if they ever get one, they'll relax.

Hedgewood allows me to rub the sides of her tummy if she is sleeping. I can also rub her tummy in the bath. It all depends what type of mood she is in and what she wants to do. Some hedgies will allow it..........
