On my computer, when I click on Chat a window comes up that says run "JiRC applet".. I click okay and then type my name into chat! :D

It should run a java applet - give it time - on a slow PC it will take up to like 5 min the first time it launches.

If it asks if you want to allow a down load click "yes" and it should launch at some point. :lol:

Everytime i go in to the chat room and wait for the java applet to load it says it fails so wat do i do then?

Do you have a "pop-up" blocker on your computer? There was a thread about chat problems awhile back. Check it out and see if it gives you any ideas.:)

still cant get the chatroom to work i even used my aol popup blocker and set it so it allow popups from chins and quills to come up and it still doesnt load the java applet.

I'm not great with computers, but what are your Java settings?

1) Click on tools and then internet options.
2) Click on the security tab.
3)Click on custom level.
4) Scroll down to Java permissions. Click on high safety if it says Java disabled.
5) Scroll down to active scripting and click on enable.
6)Now scroll down to scripting of Java applets. Click on enable.

Hopefully this is your problem.
