Does anyone know about salmonella in Hedgehogs. As Hedgewood continues to have blood in her stool even after surgery, the vet feels it could be salmonella which has attached her GI causing blood in her stool. Does anyone have any familiarity with this?

I haven't dealt with salmonella Jenelle but I have dealt with campylobacter. That caused bloody stool in Tico. Turns out the campylobacter was hiding his intestinal lymphoma :( Maybe have your vet consider that as well. Did your vet prescribe any medication?
