Well this evening I finally caught Mocha up getting some food and water. She has 4 beautiful hoglets. I'm kind of curious though cause one is dark all over and the other three only have small dark spots on their heads or shoulders, if you didn't look closely at their shoulders and head areas you would think they were albinos. I'm very excited to see how they turn out. Mocha is being such a great mom to them that I didn't want to take the risk of getting a photo since it's her first time and all. :)

Thank you! I would hate to see your luck run out! Do you have an older picture of Mocha? The colorings you are seeing sounds intriguing! I'm terrible with colors

Could it be poop or dried blood? Those albinos are famous for getting spotted.

well the skin is what is dark, and they seem to be getting dark ears as well. I know it WAY to early to tell what happens.
Mocha is on the left, she has three or so larger pinto spots on her rump, Bandit is on the right two pics and he has one pinto spot on his left hip.

Wow they are both beautiful hedgies! It will be interesting to see what kind of babies you get out of them! Anxiously awaiting pictures (when it is safe, of course!) :D

She doesn't let me catch her out of the nest too often, so far it's just been that first time. Next time I catch her up I'll get some pics of the little ones. I was gone for two days for the Illinois state fair and all the hoglets seemed to have grown by leaps and bounds. :)

So I spoke too soon, I went up to the hedgie room and she was out getting some water. I got her into the playpen and snapped some shots of the kids. And yes the one on the right appears to be a high white pinto, the one on the top left has always been darker, the two on the bottom left get lighter towards their bums but I couldn't see them very well and they are 7 days old so I didn't want to pic them up.
