Oliver had a tumor removed today!

My little punkin' Oliver had a tumor removed from his foot (think wrist area) this morning. My vet and I thought it was a cyst and left it for a few weeks to see if it would go away on its own, but it's gotten larger and angry looking. It was the size of a pea on his poor little foot but it didn't seem to slow him down any- still eats like a pig and wheels like a madman.
My vet also did an impression smear and saw some pretty abnormal cells :( and a high white blood cell count so he's on antibiotics. I should be getting the histopathology reports back in a few days. Keep your fingers, toes and quills crossed that it's not cancerous!

I'm glad the surgery went well...now let's hope all the tests come back clear. Crossed quills, paws and toes here.......

Thanks for the well wishes guys! Oliver was pretty upset that he had no wheel last night. He trashed his cage! I don't have the heart to tell him he can't have it back until tomorrow night. We should hear the results from his histopathology back tomorrow. I'll keep you posted

The pathology reports came back on Monday! Ollie is disease free :hyper: His little pea sized lump on his foot turned out to be a granular cyst. Still not sure how he got it, but it's gone now!
