Is this normal?

My hedgies, mainly the females tend to lick my hands but they don't really stay in one spot, and occasionally they actually attempt a nibble...is this because they want the salt on my hands or are they just annointing, I would normally think this with the exception that they don't lick themselves after....any information or thoughts would be helpful!

They might be smelling something on your hands, soaps, food, perfumes, smoke, etc. Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly with a non-scented wash before picking up your hedgies. Also, alot of hedgies do tend to do the lick first, bite next.:slurp: Be careful and good luck.:laugh:

Yup, I had a little love nip once after a licking fest. Most liekly, they just like whatever their tasting. :)
