Colds and hedgehogs

Okay today I got a horrible cold, and for fear of getting the hoglets sick I did not check on them today. I was wondering if any one had any insight on if it's dangerous or not to handle them. I have hand sanitizer I use between every cage even when I'm not sick as not to transmit anything to any of the hogs from each other. I had Scotty clean all my cages for me....the 'honey I'm sick, I have a fever, pretty please'.

Pretty sure there was a thread somewhat like this a while back. I think more or less what people said was to do what youre doing now. Better to be safe than sorry :)

I don't think there is any definate answer on whether we can pass our illness on to them. When I'm sick, my daughter takes care of them all and same with her. It's not worth the risk. :)
