I have done a bit of searching, and found a few answers...
But I was wondering what kind of treats you give your hedgies, how much, and how often.
(By treats I mean other than dry food.)
Thanks!

I don't really give any treats. Don't buy any of that that "treat" food from the petstore like 8n1 Fruit and Veggie mix for hedgehogs. It's garbage and dangerous!
I like to "supplement" their diet with fruits, veggies, chicken, turkey, salmon, insects, etc.
I offer them during playpen time on a plate, 1 tsp. at a time.
My crew loves broiled chicken and salmon, the following baby foods: applesauce, bananas, sweet potato, peas, peaches, scrambled eggs. I'll also sprinkle mealies and dried crickets out to!
Do a search in the Diet and Nutrition section and you'll find lots of suggestions!

I didn't mean the 'treat' stuff in petstores...I know those are super unhealthy. :) I guess I meant in way of supplements.
I did find a lot of suggestions, but I wasn't sure how much to be giving. I am going shopping again today, and have started a list.
Thanks for replying!

I think I'm blind! I had looked over old posts/pages to find an answer before posting, but didn't see what I wanted. Well, today it is plain as day! It must be my husbands faulth - he was distracting me or something! ;) Silly boys.

Ontop of what Tawana already mentioned my guys love (sometimes)- strawberries, blue berries, differnt kinds of mellon (watermellon etc), orange (only in small amounts), peas, cooked carrot, cottage cheese, yogurt, cooked pasta, cherrios etc.
Pretty much anything goes when it comes to hedgie treats. Exercise common sense and good judgement. Dont give spicey foods, overly fatty foods, chocolate, nuts, raisons (I cannot spell that word today!?), avacodo, onions etc. The main reason behin the nuts and raisons is that those can get lodged in the roof of your hedgies mouth :(
Only offer one new treat a night, so that if your hedgie does end up with an upset tummy you will have a better idea of what may have caused it.
