I was wondering if anyone knew of any other good sites besides this one where one could adoptions? I have found a couple but I don't they weren't very good and I really don't think anyone ever really goes to them anymore. Thank you for your help. Take care everyone.

I assume that you're looking for sites where you can find hedgehogs that need new homes. I'd recommend the "hhrescue" group at Yahoo - there we try to gather all of the weblistings that we can find, verify that the hedgehog(s) is/are still available, and then post the listings and try and track the outcome.

Some of the sites that we go to looking for hedgies needing new homes include:
- http://www.petfinder.com (look under the shelters AND classifieds)

You can also look in your local papers (I think that, in many cases, the papers are the best resource for finding hedgies needing new homes). Additionally, network with other hedgehog owners in your area - chances are pretty good that they know of folks involved in hedgehog rescue that can help you either find a new hedgehog to be a part of your family or help you find a new home for a hedgehog that you currently have. Finally, print yourself-up some contact cards (and hedgie care sheets) and distribute them to your local humane societies and to local small/pocket pet/exotic pet/and wildlife rescue groups - trust me, you'll start getting calls.

Laura she is actually looking for a site where she can put up an ad for Herby (she needs to adopt him out to a new home due to personal reasons). Id assume however that all those sites that you listed would work for what she needs as well :) Thats a great list!
