I finally got my acceptance letter for C&Q!!! :hyper:

I Joined about 4 days ago and have only been able to read posts until now. I Think that this is the best hedgie information site. There are so many people here with experience and everyone has given really detailed and informative answers.

I have been contemplating getting a hedgehog for 6 years now. For the last year I have been doing alot of reading and studying. I think owning a pet is a huge responsibility and should not be entered into lightly. I finally found a breeder semi-close to me that I trust. YAY ME!!! I've had lots of questions for her and she seems to be very friendly and informative. I talked to her earlier this evening and she is holding my new baby boy for me. He isn't ready yet. Not until 9-7-2005. That gives me plenty of time because I am having his cage custom built. Now all I need is a name!!! I'm going to need help in this department. Thanks Everyone!!! I am posting his pic so everyone can see how adorable he is!!!

Thanks. I am getting him from a breeder not a pet shop, and the breeder is a lisensed breeder. I have to drive a little bit (almost 4 hours) but he's worth it. Do you still think Polo or Ori for his name?

Thanks For the compliments everyone. I am located in Arkansas. I am getting the hedgehog from a lady that is a USDA licensed breeder. I spoke with her at some length about her hedgies. I really like her. If all works well I will be getting another one, a female, sometime during december. All her babies look really healthy and she has really good rates. I'll Post the link so everyone can see all her babies!!!

As for the names. I wanted something different. Thought of different things that reminded me of a hedgehog, things that described them, then I put those words into a language translator and here's some of the names I came up with:

Origami (Ori)
Pepe - Means Pepper in Italian
Polo - means nettle in Italian
Touffu - Means Bushy in French
Poco - Means Little in Spanish
Pacco - Means Bundle in Italian

Here's the link for the Breeder I am getting him from. Maybe you'll find your next "owner" there!!!!
