Mookie is a male and he lives along.. lately he has been making squeeking noises.. anyone here know why this would be?
I hope he is not sick or something.

Could you give us some more details like:
-Are other hedgies around him (females?)?
-Does he sound like he is in pain?
-When does he do it?
-Is he still eating and drinking normally?
-Is he still active/ behaving normally?
-Are his stools "normal"?
Also the following info might be helpful:
-How old is Mookie?
-How long have you had him?
-What is he housed in?
-Does he have a wheel?
-What kind of bedding do you use for him?
-What type of food is he currently eating?
ETC.
The more information that you provide us with the easier it will be to rule things out, and maybe get some ideas why he is doing what he is. Chances are its nothing serious, and that he is just being vocal- but with more information everyone here will be able to get a better idea of what is going on, and will be able to provide you with better answers :)

It sounds like everything is alright to me. I think the most important thing to do is to follow your gut instinct. If something is telling you that something isnt right, or normal- then I would say to book an appointment with your vet. Otherwise, it sounds like everything is good, and I wouldnt be too worried :)

I agree with Laura. Some hedgies are just more vocal than others. Just continue keeping a close eye on him. :D

Popples will squek when we give him some chicken. I think it's a happy thing.

Some males just like to sing, not a big deal as long as he's acting and eating normally. :)
