Anyone have a clue on the color??? I'm thinkin the flash was too close on that last one, It made him look different. In the other pic I have he looks a little darker like the first two. Isn't he gorgeous??? :hyper:

Is the hedgie in the last picture the same on as in the other two pictures? It looks like the last one has ALOT more quills, and if you look carefully the edge of his face that you can see looks alot lighter too. Doesnt look at all to be the same hedgie to me?
Regaurdless- that is one cute boy!
EDIT- Just noticed you posted about the flash maybe being too close. Its weird because the picture doesnt look washed out at all...oh well :dunno:

Taking pics of little squirmish hoglets is tough, I've had some pics of the same hog that look completely different before, I'm sure it's the angle and how close the picture is.
He is adorable!!! When do you actually get to bring him home??

I get to bring him home September 7th. :apple:
I was thinking he was salt and pepper at first too, but if you look at the first picture I have up close, the bands on his quills are dark brown and fade to a lighter brown on each side of the band. It's not rusty colored, it's a cleaner brown. The skin under his quills is a light grey color. You can see his first pic I have here for the upclose pic of his quills : http://www.pricklepatchexotics.com/hogletsavailable.html - he's the 3rd from the bottom - male on hold. If you click on his pic, It will blow it up and you can see upclose.
Keep in mind, these pics weren't all taken on the same day, and he's almost 5 weeks old, so naturally he will have more quills in some pics than others.
I was figuring it was the lighting or the flash because the picture looks really bright, not just the baby in it, but also the hand. :dunno:

6 weeks old is pretty young to be letting owners take them home. I wonder when he's weaned. I thought the norm was to have the hoglets weaned at about 5-5 1/2 weeks old and monitored for a week or so to make sure the hoglet is fine on dry food. Just make sure you watch him closely to make sure he's eating and drinking enough on his own (daily weights are a good indication).
