Ok, i am calming down about the temp. thing, yes i was freaking out about it a week or so ago, but im confused. i hear people writing all different things. i read a post where someone said they keep it at 76 degrees, other people have said low 60's, other people have said low 70's, so which one is it?

and if there isnt a "right" temp. what do you keep your temp. at?

since i have gotten the thermometer, the living room ranges normally about 65.5-66.5.

just want to know what you guys think.

Your temp is fine. It also gives you a "cushion" before things can become deadly.

My chin room AC is set at 60F, and on the 100+F days it can be around 70F. I believe that the cooler and more stable you can keep their environment, the better suited you are to handle the random heatwave.

so, what would be considered deadly?

I keep my chin room, aka my bedroom lol, at 68/69 degrees.

It depends. Stale, humid 75 degree weather can be deadly, especially if your chin is out exercising. 85 degrees with no humidity can be deadly. Safest bet is to keep your chins under 70 degrees.

40-56% humidity isn't bad at all ... that is about average ... where here our humidity outside can get very high! ... inside not really sure what it is, but I know it's not very humid, or I would be having sinus problems.
I don't like my chin room to go above 70 degrees.
I don't like the heat or humidity, so I know if I'm comfortable my chins are comfortable, however if the house does get a little cool for me, the chin room also has it's own window air conditioning to keep it moderated in there ;)

i keep the bedroom at 70-72... chin seems fine, quite active during evening hours and i live in there when its 95+ outside.. coolest room in the house..

people will vary in there air temps.. that can't be helped.. lol.. but your temps seem fine, and i wouldnt freak if it gets in the low 70's..
and remember, in winter if need be... move chin to another room where the vent can be blocked off.. just in case you dont want to live in sweaters...
or, you can keep bundled up and leave heat set to 68-70..
