Hedgies by Vickie

Does anyone know about her or her hedgehogs? She has the neatest colors. I also know sometimes when you breed for a certain trait such as colors, things such as health may be compromised. Has anyone purchased a hedgie from her?

I have a few from her and I notice that she likes to line breed a lot especially in her apricot line that I have on my Rosie. She's a huge breeder and has been doing it for awhile so I'm sure she knows what she's doing. In my opinion though some of her hogs can be huffy...two of my three from her aren't the cuddlest. I do agree she has some amazing colors though!!

I don't have any from her, but I have heard alot of people on C&Q talking about how much they love her hedgies, and they'd die for one, so I am assuming she's good at what she does.

I've never purchased an animal from Vickie, but I've heard great things about her. I love her pintos!! She also has a plantinum hedgie that I wouldn't say no to either ;)

I've heard both good and bad but mostly good. They only bad I've heard is some of the babies are not as friendly as they could be but that is true with any breeder. There are friendly and not so friendly babies. Most of what I've heard has been good and she does have awesome colours. :)

I've seen that female plantinum on her site and rolled the thought of purchasing her around in my mind on and off. I might be taking in a breeding pair from up north so I'm holding off.....but have you seen her oaks....omg I love those!!!

I have two hedgehogs from her and have handled another. Fizzy is an absolute doll. Milkshake is a runner hedgie, not a cuddler but she's still really friendly. The other one that I handled had an average temperament.

I am not planning to get another one until Blizzy passes on. I have the money saved up. I actually saved it for a short tail opossum, but I am torn between that and another hedgehog. I really love hedgies. A short tail can wait anyway :winkgrin: . Also, she is the closest to me besides Dawn Wrobel. I really love her pintos and also seen the platinum she has on her site at this time as well. She is going for $200 I think. I was just wondering what everyone thought before I made a decision to get one from her in the future. Thank you.
