Hello All,

I have not posted in a while, but I came across a beautiful hedgehog this weekend. It is an apricot pinto! I have never seen or heard of an apricot that was a pinot as well. He only has one white spot on his left side but he it is definately a white spot! Does anyone know how pintos are created? I have always wondered which crosses create specific mutations.

pinto is a common mutation is domestic pets. Dogs, horses, cats all have the gene. Pinto hedgehogs have been around for several years now.

Milkshake, my apricot, has a very small pinto spot.
