First of all, I switched high schools this year and now I wish I hadn't. I may have hated where I was, but at least I had seen most of the people there before.

I'll just recall a combination of day 1 and day 2 because day 1 wasn't a "real" day of school

First my bus is rather late; I have 5 minutes to get off the bus and into my class on the other side of the building.
I get into my class, AP Modern European History (such a fine way to wake up in the morning), the only people who I've seen before are 2 guys from my biology class in 8th grade, and they don't recognize me for $1 million.

Second hour is English, my worst subject, thankfully I actually know 2 people in that class and get to sit by and talk to them.

Third hour is Precalculus. I am the only lowly sophomore in a class of 20+ seniors, 2 juniors, and myself; however, I do kinda somewhat know one of the juniors. When the guys I was assigned to sit by found out I was a sophomore they both started laughing.

Forth hour is Spanish. It is a class of snooty, preppy and obnoxious girls and guys who are loud-mouth jocks and class clowns with no regard for anyone else.

Then at lunch on the second day I had to eat outside all by myself, but luckily (especially since it was raining) today I found some people I kinda know.

Fifth hour is study hall. Don't know anyone, but since it is a study hall it really doesn't matter.

Sixth hour is gym. I'd never seen a single person in that class in my life prior to the first day. Thankfully, today when we had to pair up for weightlifting the teacher kinda assigned me a partner who turned out to be pretty decent.

Seventh hour is chemistry with a bunch of juniors, all of whom I had never seen before. By some miracle a girl who sits near me asked to be my lab partner today; she seem okay, maybe not my first choice, but at least she doesn't seem like a slacker.

At my last school I felt like a “goody-goody” so to speak and that no one wanted anything to do with me because they all thought I’d tell on them for any little thing I heard. Now at this school I feel like they all look down on me, they all have their little groups and I’m all alone.

Next!

It's hard changing schools. Luckily, I only ever had to switch once, and I sorta know how it feels.

My day went okay. I'm in grade 11 and only have four periods (75 min each).

My first was World History and Civilizations. It went okay. I've got about 7 or so frinds there.

Precalc was next. I wasn't able to fast track and do next years math without giving up another course, so I'm just in my grade. Half of the class though are all younger people with pocket protectors and tape on their glasses.

Lunch.

Biology. Field trip down to the creek. Picking flowers. Shrug.

Art. Finally an easy subject. We drew portfolios for our artwork. Our teacher has gotta be about 12. He was the student teacher from two years ago.

My day went well, better than I expected. Atleast one or more friends is in each class. Unfortunately, I don't have band this semester. Sigh.

School for me was like any normal day of school. This year I'm a senior, but nothing different.

Got up early, actually did my hair(I rarely do my hair for school), make-up etc.. Then drove down to school. Found out I had homeroom with the teacher I can't stand(Cocky, thinks he's always right- even when he's not, and you can prove it- and of course, only likes the football players- since he's te coach).

1st period was Trig class. I didn't want to load up on maths my Junior year, so took Geometry then , and Trig this year. It was ok. There were two girls I really actually talked to in that class- one dropped it, the other is still there.

2nd period is English Lit. I hate that class. I can't stand about 80% of the people in it. I talk to.. oh maybe 6 people in that class..

3rd Period is gym--softball. Not a bad class. Several people I talk to, and most of the other people I can stand to be around for 45 minutes without getting ready to kill someone...

4th period is Environmental Science- It's not a bad class at all. A few people I talk to, a few people I can't stand, and a few people I just don't talk to.. but it's not bad. We don't do alot of work, so have a lot of time to just hang out and talk to the people I do talk to.

5th is my lunch... I thought lunch was going to suck- as last year I sat with my then boyfriend(he graduated;;but we also broke up before school started). Everyone I talked to said they had either 2nd or 3rd lunch..so I was expecting to have to sit with people I don't really talk to.. but thankfully, some of my friends were in that lunch .

6th.. I have Anatomy... another good class- I have a lot of people I talk to in there.. Again some I don't like, but people I talk to .

7th is Study hall. there's like 3 people I talk to in there.. I think I may switch to gym that period, as thatway there several people in gym that I like.

8th I have ceramics.. Several people I talk to in there, including one of my really good friends- so overall I like this class.

9th period I have ceramics again. Some different people, some of the same... But overall, I like this class too- as I talk to several people in there and it makes the period fun. ..

Overall..my first day of school was ok-- boring, but it's school.

I`ve been at my school since kindergarten, and I`m also a sophomore. My first day of school was STRESSFUL. The welcome back rally wasn`t as good as it usually is. All of my classes were really difficult .. but I guess I should have expected that. I`m taking Ap European History, writing, literature, french III advanced, algebra II advanced, chemistry honors, and choir. :O Talk about a handful.

Homework on the FIRST DAY was worse than any homework I`ve ever had. And on top of that, I play sports all year round, and of coarse I`ve got my chinnies and rats to take care of !! Getting homework done is tough. I don`t understand half the things I`m learning in school right now, but I`m really hoping that will change soon. :dunno:

I`ve been in school for a week .. this is my second week and I missed school today because I`m sick .. just my luck. More stuff to catch up on and try my darndest to learn, but fail to understand. PLUS, I had to miss my volleyball game !! :banghead: I guess fainting in math class really does put you out for a bit .. not to mention how embarassing that was.

Kind of late to post here but my first day of school was an orientation (I'm in first year university). It was ok, but kind of boring. The following days really were boring though. Especially since I had a 4 hour break on my first day of classes. So far, my classes are ok, except for English. I don't think I will ever like English. It's just not my thing and I feel out of place in that class. All those arts students are so "into" the discussions and I haven't a clue what they're talking about. -_-;; Also, chem is becoming a pain now. It seems more like physics than chem, which is not a good thing. Forgot to mention.. I'm taking biology, math, chem, english and computer science this term.
Biology - ok so far. I have a pretty good prof. Just have to do a lot of reading.
Math - Ugh. Calculus + bad prof = not good at all
Chem - Right now, it's the hardest thing out of all my courses. Starting to get frustrating. Also, the prof goes over things too quickly for most people to understand.
English - My worst subject. I suck at writing essays, so this is obviously not my favourite course. It's also really hard to get through that class without nearly falling asleep during the last half of it.
Computer Science - A course I actually enjoy and have a clue what's going on in it. Also have a really good prof for this.
