Well I got some pics of the babies tonight so I thought I would post them. They are about 6 days old and they already look stunning :)
In the first pic the lighter one on top is Rosie's surviving hoglet. The other was is super dark already. In the second pic it's the other three. the one that looks like she might go pinto is on the left. I was looking at Smokey's baby pics and they look a lot alike. They both have the same father....yay for Bandit :)

Thanks very much, Rosie's girl is still a little small but they are growing like weeds. I can't wait for them to open their eyes!!!

Sarah,
Is their skin really that dark or is that just the quills? None of my hogs have really dark skin like that. They sure are interesting pictures :)

It appears to be the skin, I don't know the sex of that one since I haven't caught it on it's back at all. But has been that dark from about day three. I was looking at older baby pics from my other litters and no one is that dark. It'll be interesting to see what happens :)

I just wanted to post a pic of Smokey as a baby at the same age and what he turned into, that's what I hope happens to this little lady:)

He sure is a handsome boy Sarah! I just can't get over how dark those babies are at such a young age

This last round of litters all had very dark patches under thier eyes. I've got one girl who has black patches, she's very close to a 'true' salt and pepper but I think she might have a bit of a rusty edge if you look at her quills under a super bright desk lamp. I'm just calling her an Algerian Dark Gray to be on the safe side.
