lots of poop

oh my how much should a 11 week old little girl poop and pee? she fills the paper towels i have under her wheel and then some every night! is this normal? will it always be this much? whats the best way to litter train if shes going while she runs? :ring:

She's a baby and babies poop A LOT!! You wouldn't think something so little could make such a mess :) I found that once my hedgies reached about 4 months of age, they started to produce less and had better control of their bowels. Depending on what her diet is will also impact poop amounts.
I used to use Yesterday's News for litter and I would place it in a shallow baking pan under their wheels. Most of them would use it or at least hit it the majority of times. It helps to take old poos and place them in the litter area so they would get the idea. Now I use paper towels in the litter area. More financially feasible with multiple hogs :)

I think baby hedgehogs poop their weight and size of poop everytime they get up. They are poop machines. :laugh: As Tawana said, they do outgrow it.

Well i hope it changes i guess ill just wait it out thanks for the reply its hard to get info no one else has one where i live and pet stores dont know much about them
