I make this and all my picky kids eat it!! I do not have nuts in this one but it is optional so just add it in before you pour into the pan!
Banana Nut Bread
1/2 cup shortning
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup of banana (about 2)
2 c four
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
-cream shortning, bananas, and eggs( I put mine in a mixer)
- in a separate bowl add all the dry ingredents left together and slowly add into the mixer(spoon it in) and also the nut of your choice!
Bake in a greased loaf pan @
350 for 60 to 70 minutes

You still might want to check out Food Network (www.foodnetwork.com) and Allrecipes (http://www.allrecipes.com). Most recipes come w/ feedback from everyday kitchen cooks.
I don't have a good recipe of my own or else I'd be happy to share w/ you!
Best of luck :)
