So, this is my pet peeve of the day.

People who just got into chins a few months ago, and suddenly turn into chin experts, answering many questions- and basically, spitting out information they read-- Sorta like a printer. The printer reads what you want it to print--and prints it..in this case, the poster reads it, puts it into their words- and they are now an "expert".

Whatever happened to experience?

AND another peeve- People who respond to threads when they know nothing about the topic at hand. They use "I think I may be right" "I may be wrong..." "I think" "I don't really know"

IF you don't know the answer, why post at all? Why not leave it to someone who does know? You are only taking up peoples time. You aren't contributing to anything else. Did you ever think, that you may be giving advice that can kill an animal? How would you feel? In an emergency, people may not read all the posts- and may take your advice, when it is wrong.

Oh and- if this has been posted before(Most likely it has by me..) I don't want ot hear about it.

are we referring to rule number 9?
"Posting of posts just for the sake of posting, posting of multiple threads of the same nature to multiple sections of the forums, or posting to up your posting counter will not be allowed. This just generates extra messages for users to wade through to find messages which are on topic. CnQ reserves the right to remove these posts and/or remove posts from your counter."

Some people are just trying to help with what little info they've learned & mean no harm, but it is dangerous when they post false info & a new chin owner thinks its right

Look, I am quite aware that I don't know everything, and I understand that you probably think that I know nothing, but I am quite tired of your sour attitude about people on this forum. Yes, I may have posted a few times saying "I don't know" but my intention is only to learn. People like you are making forums like these impossible to enjoy.

When you grow up and move out of your parents house, please feel free to speak to me about how you'll never give up your chinchillas. While living with your parents, you have a shelter. When living on your own, you have to rely on solely yourself. Period.

I would say even if a new user puts a wrong advice, they really mean no harm to any chinnie... any experienced user, like Megan., can correct them! They wouldn't know when an advice is right or wrong!

However, if they post a reply with only "lols", "haha, i don't know. I'm sure somebody will say something wise..." etc... would be totally violating rule number 9.

Annie,

I didn't mention one thing about giving up my chinchillas.

And guess what? It's called responsiblity. I bought these animals, I have all intentions of keeping them. I won't go to a college if they cannot come with me. My priotries ARE my animals. I am not about to dump them all when I move out of my house. Obviously, if people thought that- many respected breeders would NOT be selling to me...

My sour attitude? I'ms orry, I'm sick of seeing people giving bad advice when it comes to chinchillas- and animals in general. Maybe you don't have a problem with it, but guess what? I do.
