Hello everyone, My Wife and myself are new to the Chin world and stumbled across this site and love it! I just can't wait till the mod part is done with so I can see my posts right away.. lol
We currently have 2 cats, 2 Dwarf Hampsters, a rainforest terrarium with 4 frogs and 2 toads, and 2 Desert terrariums (one with a Bearded Dragon and one with 4 Leapord Geckos). Once Nicole seen a Chin at the local pet store, we've been buying things to setup the cage left and right. lol
We both hope to learn alot on this site and hope for some really good feedback. I already have the Barron's Chinchillas book, so things have ben great so far.

welcome to chins n quills!
Best thing to do is get on here and read through the QA part and then read through all the post. lol read read read.. most books give wrong info on chins. Also i would find a breeder in your area to buy a good quality fur baby from!
Good luck and happy posting!

There are alot of breeders in PA that can help you out. I also would not take the advice of the book. They are hardly ever right. You can find everything you need right here.
where in PA are you? there is a fablous rancher that can also help in PA.

Well I'll have pictures of my 2 Chins after the 11th of Feb. I just worked out a deal for a M & F Chin and I'll be picking them up then.

We are actually trying to find homes for the Dwarfs. They were one of the pets we didnt research before we bought them (and $250 woth of cage and assesories). Didnt know that they were blind and can only be handeled with gloves. But we don't just want to give them to a kid/child that wont take care of them. We were thinking about putting them in the Classifieds on this site, so we'll see. But yes, they are very cute, just wish we could get them to stop biting. :)
